Shawn Sprouse
Pastor of Middle School Ministries
Shawn’s heart for sharing Christ with middle school students led him to Old North, where he ministers to young people in grades 5 through 8. A 2001 graduate of Malone College, he has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in youth ministry. While in school, he led many on campus Bible studies. Then, upon completing school, he served at Dover First United Methodist Church as Youth Director, leading ministries for students in grades 6 – 12, as well as college students.
Sports ministry is one of Shawn’s passions; he has worked with the Canton, Ohio YMCA and currently leads the Upward Basketball and Flag Football programs for middle school at Old North. Another of Shawn’s passions is inner city student outreach, for which he has found sports ministry to be a great tool.
When he’s not working, Shawn can be found spending time with his two little girls and wife, Lindsey (his high school sweetheart), or playing ball with a group of students at the gym.
